Model Ruslana Korshunova fell off a NYC high rise apartment to her death on a possible suicide.

Update: Officially, the model’s death was due to suicide. Ruslana was said to have committed suicide last Saturday when she fell from her ninth floor apartment in New York’s financial district.

Another tragic news indeed. From the pictures I saw of this young model, Ruslana Korushnova was a really stunning model with picture perfect almond-eyes and flowing-hair. She was born on the 2nd of July 1987, in the former Soviet republic of Kazachstan. Ruslana is fluent in Russian, English, and German. At only 20 years old, Ruslana Korshunova appeared on magazines and modeled for top designers like Nina Ricci, Marc Jacobs and even at fashion house DKNY. She has an enchanting pretty face and has graced the cover of the EuropeanVogue magazine.

Sometimes you would ask yourself why such a lovely and seemingly successful young person like Ruslana Korshunova would kill herself. If it is true that there is no foul play involved then it is really tragic to see such a young person end her life just like that. Sometimes life is a bitch and other people are pressuring us too much with a lot of things leading to stress and to a life of suppression. Again, if it is true that it’s a suicide then I would have wished that she was able to get support from friends and family before something like this happen. I just hate to see a young person like that taken away just like that. A stronger family and peer support could have prevented a tragedy like this. Oh well, sometimes a jetsetter lifestyle that models live make them too detached from family and friends. They would sometimes fly off to different fashion capitals by themselves and deal with people much older than them.

Resources for Teens who are having problems
At one point in our life, we also felt depression, problems, stress etc. In my opinion, there should be more resources for teens and young people, in order, for them to be able to cope with stuff on their life that due to their age and inexperience they couldn’t handle properly themselves. The government and the family should really take good care of our teens like Ruslana Korushnova. Resources should be made available and proper communication should be opened up. I just think that if we as a society care enough about our young, tragedies such as this one can be prevented.

Ruslana Korshunova, young and beautiful, is dead at 20. Definitely a sad sad tragedy. I wish we don’t hear anymore of any similar news like this one. Ruslana Korsunova has left us. May Ruszlana rest in peace!
